Allan Avis Architects Inc. Is pleased to announce that our long-term employee, Marc Crane, has been accepted as a member of the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP). CAHP is a professional organization, dedicated to heritage conservation, preservation, restoration and rehabilitation. For the past 20 years, Marc has been a team member of Allan Avis Architects Inc. and has been involved in heritage buildings throughout Southwestern Ontario, including St. Joseph Church, River Canard (Windsor), Addition and Renovations at Goderich
Town Hall, St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica, London and St. Peter’s Seminary, London, to name a few. Marc will be the second member of our team to achieve CAHP designation; Allan Avis has been a member for many years.

The restoration and rehabilitation of heritage buildings is becoming a lost art. The knowledge and experience required to work with the many materials and systems found on heritage structures, such as copper, masonry, mortar, slate, plaster and stone, takes many years to accumulate.
