Allan Avis Architects Inc. is regularly searching for qualified candidates—be they interns, new graduates, or experienced full-time employees—to work at our Goderich, Ontario office.
Our workplace is geared towards your needs. Career opportunities range from stable, long-term career solutions for people seeking full-time employment to short-term internships for students studying architecture and architectural technology.
By working with us, you’ll be located in a newly built office in the heart of Canada’s prettiest town. We are only minutes away from a blue flag beach, a lively restaurant scene and most Goderich homes. Despite our small town location, our projects are large and diverse and consist of building restorations, renovations, and new construction. Our geographical area covers much of Southwestern Ontario, from Windsor to Hamilton to Manitoulin Island and all points in between.
We are looking for people with an undying desire to continually learn and improve, professionally and personally. We want people who constantly challenge themselves to produce a better product with greater efficiency. Our people can work independently, accept constructive feedback and positively contribute as key members of a creative team.
Our work is heavily focused on written materials and oral presentations, so good communication skills—precision, conciseness, and an exceptional grasp of English—are required.
Due to the large geographic region we serve, frequent car travel is required (and will always be along scenic rural routes, not on a slow-moving 400-series highway).
Allan Avis Architects Inc. is always on the lookout for talented individuals that would rather have a career than a job. If you think you’re a good fit and want to benefit from a wonderful, rural lifestyle, then here is what you need to do:

Send us an email that tells us about you and why you think you would be a great addition to our team. We like creativity, so your introductory email can be anything that you think reflects who you are (e.g. a graphic/an image, an InDesign document, a well-written letter). Keep it to no more than a two-page printout. You don’t need to include a resume or cover letter; if we need one, we’ll ask for one later on. Our email is firstname.lastname@example.org
We will contact persons of interest and request additional information. Top candidates will be invited to interviews.
