Goderich, Ontario
The Performance Stage, built in 2014, replaces the original Court House Park Gazebo designed by Allan Avis Architects Inc. and destroyed in Goderich’s 2011 F3 tornado. The Performance Stage is build on top of the Gazebo’s concrete platform and is designed to evoke the image of an overturned ship, alluding to Goderich’s lake-faring heritage. The Performance Stage is a focal point for the town and enhances local events held within the square.
