Allan Avis has practiced since 1984 and started his own firm in Goderich, Ontario, in 1993.
Contractors and clients describe Allan as “a realistic architect” who creates beautiful yet functional designs at a reasonable cost. His passion lies in historic restoration and the revitalization of our built heritage. He is not afraid to get dirty in the creation of Building Condition Assessment Reports, as he meticulously analyses all aspects of buildings, including attics, basements and crawlspaces, to reveal the core building systems.
Allan can frequently be seen putting pencil to paper to trace out building designs. Outside of the office, he can be found travelling and hiking. He takes pride in the accomplishments of his three sons and often relaxes with them at the family cottage.
Allan can be reached at email@example.com.

He is influenced by local design materials and integrates the culture of the community into his work.
For the past nine years, Jason has lived with his family on an off-the-gird home that he designed and constructed in Grey County.
